I was originally introduced to Steve in August 2011 when he was organising the management buy-out of Premier Mobile.

Getting that deal done took a lot of patience, persistence and ongoing negotiation, coupled with a real desire to get the deal across the finishing line.

Throughout that process I always found Steve to be a "good sounding board" for me and to give his honest opinions at all times.

I have always found his views to be balanced, commercial and very practical.

Since completing the MBO, we have successfully used Steve to help us with 3 more acquisitions and we also value his input in our monthly board meetings.

Steve managed two disposals for Wolseley.  Neither project was easy, marketing construction related businesses in the middle of recession but Steve showed persistence and innovation to achieve two very good results.

We first met Steve when we were looking for a way to unlock some value in our company for its shareholders. 

In difficult times, as the UK saw the collapse of Lehmans and the massive tightening of credit, Steve guided us through our management buy-out, securing what turned out to be among the last bank financing of 2008. 

Since then our business has performed well and we asked Steve recently to structure and arrange financing for the next phase of our corporate development.

When I first started the process I did not realise the enormousness of the work involved, but from the first day I met you I felt confident that you were the right person for the job in hand. The service you provided was very impressive, including the regular progress updates. The positive way you liaised with the staff of my company who were involved in the sale process was first class, and was executed in a warm and professional manner. Throughout the process you were always available for advice, even at weekends, and although the overall process was longer than hoped for, mainly due to the involvement of the firms of solicitors/lawyers you were always there, a great middleman between myself, the buyers and the lawyers when discussions got a little heated and communication lost.
